Difference between Linoleic and Linolenic Acids?


Both linoleic acid and linolenic acid are considered fatty acids. Linolenic acid is an organic compound that comes from vegetable oil while linoleic acid come from flax seeds. The most important difference between the two is their structure and vitamin usage. Linolenic is an Omega-3 fatty acid, and linoleic is an Omega-6 fatty acid.
