Difference between Cyst and Cancer?

A cyst refers is closed sac that contains fluids, gas, or other material. Cysts can develop in any part of the body. A tumor is a mass of tissue that is visible as a lump in the body and can only be seen with an ultrasound. One difference between cysts and tumors is how they relate to cancer. Most cysts do not develop into cancer. However, nearly all cancers are capable of producing cysts. The chances of a tumor being cancer are higher than with a cyst.
